Department of Forestry – Walk-in-interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for a walk-in-interview to be held on 30- 04-2019 (Tuesday) at 10:30 a.m. in the Department of Forestry, Mizoram University for the following post under the ISRO, Govt. of India funded major research project entitled “Modelling Spatio-temporal forest growth dynamics using Dendroclimatological and Remote Sensing observations in North East India”.
Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 01 (One) post (Emoluments @ Rs. 25,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd Year and on designation as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) by a committee @ Rs. 28,000 from 3rd year).
Eligibility: M.Sc. Forestry with B.Sc. Forestry/M.Sc. Forestry (B.Sc. Basic science)+NET. Candidates with M.Sc. in related subject with net may also apply. Age: not exceeding 35 years on the date of advertisement with relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.
Note: preference will be given to candidates having evidence of experience in the relevant area and NET qualification

The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project. The appointment does not carry any entitlement or right over the job and will not be considered as formal service.
