The State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR):
Mizoram is a State Level Apex Training Institute in the field of Rural Development in the State of Mizoram and is imparting training for all stakeholders under the Ministry of Rural Development and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. SIRD & PR is being implementing Capacity Building and Training under the Rastriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) funded by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. Under the RGSA, the SIRD&PR intends to recruit various posts on contractual basis for a period of one year initially, which may be renewed on a year-to-year basis, subject to satisfactory performance of the contract staff. The entire contract engagement shall be co-terminus with the scheme of RGSA, and the contract staff shall have no claims for regular employment, or absorption under the Government of Mizoram. IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CANDIDATES
1.Candidates are requested to fill in the application form carefully and ensure that personal email id and contact telephone details are clearly indicated therein for further communication.
2.The duly filled application for the post of Training Assistant, DPRC, Kolasib and Training Assistant, DPRC, Siaha must reach Office of the Principal, ETC/RIRD, Kolasib and Office of the Head Faculty, DPRC, Siaha respectively on or before 31st October, 2019.
3.The duly filled application for the post of Faculty must reach the office of the Director, State institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj on or before 31st October, 2019.
4.SIRD&PR, Mizoram reserved the right to reject late or incomplete application.
5.Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate
applications.
6.The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed at the notice board of SIRD & PR: Mizoram, Durtlang Leitan, Aizawl to undergo further screening test. The list will also be available at SIRD & PR website www.sirdmizoram.org.in.
7.Candidate should possess Computer Proficiency as prescribed by the
Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment)
Rules, 2016 notified by Government of Mizoram.
8.The selection procedure for Faculty Recruitment will involve short-listing of applicants, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Only candidates
satisfying the standards of SIRD&PR will move forward to the next stage of
each recruitment process.
9.Group Discussion will not carry marks in the final selection and is meant only for elimination so as to identify meritorious candidates.
10.Written Test for the post of Training Assistant, DPRC, Kolasib and Training Assistant, DPRC, Siaha will be held at ETC/RIRD, Kolasib and at DPRC, Siaha respectively.
11.The selection procedure for Training Assistant will involve short-listing of applicants, Written Test and Personal Interview. Written Test will be
conducted on General English and General Knowledge. The detailed
syllabus for Training Assistant shall be as below:-
A. WRITTEN TEST
I. General English -Essay Type
a) Essay Writing : 20 Marks
b) Précis Writing : 10 Marks
c) Letter Writing : 10 Marks
d) Expansion of passages : 10 Marks
Total : 50 Marks
II. General Knowledge : Current events of national and international
Importance
Objective Type : 50 Marks
B. PERSONAL INTERVIEW : 25 Marks
Grand Total : 125 Marks
12. The number of candidates that can be called for Personal Interview will be as follows:

13.Place of posting for the post Faculty will be decided according to the merit list of the final selection.
14.The recruitment processes will be conducted by Recruitment Panel for
SIRD&PR and the Selection Committee formed by the State Executive
Committee of RGSA. SIRD&PR will not entertain any extra correspondence
with the concerned staff or the recruiting agency during the recruitment
process and any violation of such will lead to disqualification of the
candidate for present and future prospect with the SIRD&PR.
15.Extensive travelling in rural areas is required for all the positions. Candidates applying for all the positions should be willing to travel extensively within or outside the State.
16.The terms and conditions for engagement and monthly remuneration of
selected candidates will be as per the requirement of RGSA programme
implementation.
17.SIRD&PR reserved the right to cancel the recruitment process without
assigning any reasons thereof.
18. SIRD&PR reserved the right to deselect any candidate during the
recruitment process or after engagement if it is found that the candidate
has provided false information to the Institute.
19.Candidates should be within the age group of 21-35 years for General, upto 40 years for SC/ST/OBC.
20.Candidates should possess knowledge of Mizo language at least High
School standard.
21. Minimum educational qualification of candidates should be Degree holder in the subjects given against each post with at least 50% marks for SC/ST and 55% for others in aggregate from recognized Institute or University.
