Applications are invited for filling up of the under mentioned vacant posts. The prescribed application form can be obtained and submitted from 10:00 to 3:00PM on office working days till 30/1/2020 in the Office of Mizoram Public Service Commission, Mizoram New Capital Complex and the office of the Deputy Commissioners Lunglei, Saiha, Champhai, Lawngtlai, Serchhip, Kolasib and Mamit on cash payment of application fee of Rs 300 (Rs 150 for SC/ST/OBC applicants) or by depositing into the Treasury under the Head – 0051-PSC, 105- State PSC (Examination fee etc) or by encrossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of Secretary, Mizoram Public Service Commission.
Person with Disabilities are exempted from payment of application fee.

1. Name of Department : Public Work Department.
2. Name of Post : Jr. Grade of Mizoram Engineering Service.
3. Classification : Group ‘A’ (Gazetted) (Non- Ministerial).
4. Number of Posts : 18 (Eighteen).
i) Civil Wing
Civil Engineer 16+1 = 17 (Seventeen).
1 (one) post reserved for PwD (OA/OL/LV/PD).
ii) Architecture Wing
Assistant Architech-1(One).
5. Scale of Pay : Level 10 in thePay Matrix(56,100-1,24,500).
6. Eligibility Criteria :
i) Nationality : A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
ii) Age limit: A candiate must have attained the age of 21 yrs and must not have attained the age of 35 yrs on the first day of the year in which the Examination is held. The Upper age limits relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and other backward classes as laid down. by the Government and as notified by the Government vide No. A.12011/1/2019-P&AR (GSW) dt 03.06.2019.
Note : A candidate should note that the date of birth as recorded iu the HSLC/HSSLC examination certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of application will be accepted by the Commission and no subsequent request for its ‘change will be considered or granted.
iii) Educational Qualifications :
a) Obtained a degree in Engineering/ Architecture or equivalent degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
b) Passed Sections A and B ofExaminations of the Institution ofEngineers(India); or
c) Obtained a degree in Engineering/Architecture from such foreign University/ College/ Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or
d) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India)
e) Knowledge of Mizo Language upto Middle School Standard.
Note : A candidate who has appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the examination. but has not been informed of the result or have not been declared at the time of submission of the application, may be eligible for admission to the examination. All such candidates included in the list prepared by the Commission under regulations 3(iv) shall be required to produce proof of passing the requisite examination and, ih case of architecture, registration certificate from Council of Architecture at the time of interview before the selection board/committee failing which such candidates will not be appointed to the service.
iv) Computer Proficiency :
Computer Proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2016 notified vide No. A.11013/1/2013- P&AR(GSW) dated 29.09.2016 & 16.12.2016 and vide No. A.12034/1/2015-P&AR (GSW) dated 04.12.2017, 23.02.2018, 10.01.2019. & 10.07.2019
