Walk –In Interview on 07 February 2020 from11:00 AM onwards
Walk-in Interview will be held for the mentioned posts under the DBT-sponsored project “GenomeIndia : Cataloguing the genetic variation in Indians”. The Project is in collaboration with 20 institutes within the country and the project personnel will be required to work at Department of Biotechnology, Mizoram University or as per the need of the project.
1) Field Data Collector – One (01) post. (Emolument: Rs.18,000 pm).
Eligibility: B.Sc in any Science related subjects or Medical lab technology.
Nature of Duties : Will be responsible for collecting blood samples and conduct questionnaire survey and interviews.
2) Lab Technician – One (01) post. (Emolument: Rs.18,000 pm).
Eligibility: Diploma holder in clinical Biochemistry or Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Technology with 3 years experience or B.Sc.
Nature of Duties : Will be assisting Field Data Collector and clinicians in performing blood biochemical test and its interpretation.
3) Data Analyst – Two (02) post. (Emolument: Rs.31,000 pm).
Eligibility: B.Tech/ M.Sc in Life Science / Computer Science/ Allied Sciences.
Nature of Duties: Will be responsible analyzing whole genome data, cataloguing variants and its interpretation. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in NGS data analysis
related to human diseases.
General Terms and Conditions:
* The term of service is for one year which may be extended further depending on their performance and/or other conditions prevailing at that time. Fellowship amount and age relaxations will be as per norms of DBT, New Delhi. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The appointment does not confer any entitlement or right over the job and will not be considered as formal service.
* Candidates having strong interest and dedication towards human genome sequencing, cataloguing the genetic variation and its interpretation towards human health as well as population genetics only need to apply. The selected candidates should also involve in overall setting up and proper functioning of the research and diagnostic labs.
* The walkin interview will be on 07 February 2020. Applications along with biodata neatly typed on plain paper enclosing attested photo copies of marksheets and certificates should be submitted on the date of the walk-in interview. All the Original certificates and supporting documents should be
produced for verification.
* No TA & DA will be paid for appearing in the walk-in interview. Candidates who are unable to attend the personal interview can also opt for skype/ telephonic interview, with prior intimation to [email protected]
