Applications are invited from highly motivated eligible candidates for three (03) temporary positions viz. Project Assistant (01) and Field worker (2) to carryout Major Research Project entitled “Establishing indigenous innovative farming model for sustainable crop production and tribal empowerment in Mizoram” funded by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India under the scheme TSP Techno Interventions for Tribal Empowerment under Prof. Shri Kant Tripathi, Principal Investigator, Department of Forestry, Mizoram University.
Appointments will be made initially for a period of one (01) year, which may be extended further upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent. The positions are co-terminus with the project or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Maximum duration of project is three (03) years.

Project Assistant (Positions: 01)
Essential qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech. with a minimum of 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA in Forestry/Environmental Science/ Botany/Life science/Ecology.
Desirable: Energetic person with good analytical skills and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in the field as well as in the laboratory are encouraged to apply.
Fellowship: Rs. 22,000/- (Rupees twenty-two thousand) fixed per month.
Age limit: The upper age of the candidates is 28 years at the time of application. The upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Field Worker (Positions: 02)
Essential qualification: B.Sc. with a minimum of 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA in Forestry/Environmental Science/ Botany/Ecology. However, person with higher qualifications is encouraged to apply and will be preferred.
Desirable: Energetic person with good analytical skills and capable of working both in filed as well as in the laboratory in assisting project staffs. Person may be required to stay at the developed farming sites in the field as and when needed.
Fellowship: Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand) fixed per month.
