Dept. of Biotechnology (DRDO)- Applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for one Junior Research Fellowship position from highly motivated eligible candidates to work in a Defence Research and Development organization (DRDO), Govt. of India, funded project entitled “Correlation analysis of dependent variables on biodigester performance” under Dr. Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya, Principal Investigator, Department of Biotechnology, Mizoram University.
Appointments will be on purely temporary basis and will be made initially for a period of one year, which may be extended further upon satisfactory performance. The positions are co-terminus with the project or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Maximum duration of project is three (03) years.
Essential qualification for Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc./M.Tech with a minimum of 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Environmental science or any other relevant disciplines with NET/GATE qualification are encouraged to apply.
Desirable: Energetic persons with good analytical skills and capable of working independently and as part of a team in the field as well as in the laboratory are encouraged to apply. Field duty involves monitoring of biodigesters’ performance, data collection, recording and analysis.
Fellowship: Rs. 25, 000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) per month for first and second year and Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand) for third year. In addition, 8% HRA will be admissible as per Govt. of India rules, if accommodation is not provided by the University.
Age limit: The upper age of the candidates is 28 years at the time of application. The upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
