6. Job Description : Detection, investigation, and prosecution of offences under the laws enforced by the Department. Maintaining strict discipline while effectively leading his/her sub-ordinates during raids.
7. Conditions of Eligibility :
I. Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University.
II. Physical Measurement:
a. Height
MALE at least 160 cm (5 ft 3 inches)
FEMALE at least 155 cm (5 ft 1 inch)
b. Chest
Normal
MALE at least 84 cm (33 inches)
FEMALE at least 75 cm (29.5 inches)
c. BMI
Normal BMI value (+ 20%)
III. Physical Efficiency Test:
The full mark for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is 150, and the qualifying mark is 60.
To qualify, a candidate must meet the minimum standard in each category of PET.
1. High Jump
Total Marks – 30
Three attempts in each range. The highest score in 3 attempts will be taken as the final score.
2. Long Jump
Total Marks – 30
Three attempts in each range. The highest score in 3 attempts will be taken as the final score.
3. 100 meter sprint (race)
Total Marks – 45
One attempt only
4. 1 Kilometer Race
Total Marks – 45
One attempt only

Age Limit:
A candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age on 1st August, 2026. Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of ST/SC candidates or as may be notified by the Government from time to time. For proof of age, HSLC/ HSSLC Certificates/ Voters ID / Digitised Birth Certificate which clearly shows the candidate’s date of birth shall be accepted. Relaxation as per rules.
Mizo Language Proficiency:
A candidate must achieve the pass mark in the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency as prescribed by the Government from time to time. However, a candidate who studied Mizo subject in Class-X
standard(HSLC) or above within Mizoram or who opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram is exempted from taking the qualifying test
