Indian Coast Guard Invites candidates to join Indian Coast Guard as an Assistant Commandant in General Duty (Male Only), General Duty (Pilot) (Male Only) and Commercial Pilot License (SSA) branch(both Male and Female) for 01/2019 batch

Qualification

General Duty/ General Duty (Pilot) :
(i) Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (i.e, 1 st Semester to 8th Semester for BE/B.Tech Course or 1st year to last year for Bachelor Degree Candidates wherever applicable).
(ii)Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% aggregate in mathematics and physics.(Candidates not in possession of Physics and Maths in 10+2(intermediate) or equivalent level are not eligible for General Duty (GD) and General Duty (Pilot)

General Duty
Age (Born between) : 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 1998 (Both dates inclusive).

General Duty (Pilot)
Age (Born between) : 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 2000 (Both dates inclusive).

Commercial Pilot Entry (CPL)

Qualification :
Candidates holding current /valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued/ validated by Director General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Minimum educational qualification – 12th pass(Physics and math) with 60% marks in aggregate

Medical Standards :
All candidates recommended in FSB will have to undergo medicals as per extant regulation. However, broad guidelines are as follows

(a) Height.

(i) Asst Commandant (GD): 157 cms minimum. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. regulations.

(ii) Asst Commandant (Pilot) and CPL holders : Height Minimum 162.5 cms, leg length minimum 99 cms.

(b) Weight.

Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.

(c) Chest.

Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.

(d) Eye Sight.

(i) Asst Commandant (GD)

6/6 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass.

6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.

(ii) Asst Commandant GD(Pilot)/ CPL holders (SSA)

6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other correctable to 6/6.

(e) Tattoo. Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body. However, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas/ communities as declared by the Govt. of India. For other candidates permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand.

Schedule for Preliminary Selection Examination : Candidates to reach the allotted centre at least 30 minutes prior to starting of Exam. The date and time of the examination will be intimated through Coast Guard website. The Preliminary Selection will be conducted tentatively from 18 Jun 2018 onwards at following centres or any other centre promulgated by Coast Guard:-
